I am a Thoroughred!

I would like to issue a very enthusiastic congratulations to the Central Florida Thoroughbreds.  Last night they played for the Minor League Football Spring League National Championship and won by a score of 31 to 6.  I am so proud of these guys.  For those of you who don't know or haven't seen my jersey on Sundays I played with this team last year and had a great time.  I don't know that I have ever played with a better group of athletes.  It means even more to me that since I could not play in the game that a few of the guys assured me I would get a ring due to my contributions the year before.
I personally love these semi-professional football leagues.  It is a group of guys who love the game of football and play hard, not for money, but because of their superior love of the game.  It is a sight to see.  Some of the guys believe that they are better than they actually are but it doesn't matter because they all play harder than they should.  It is a refreshing side of sports as we watch over payed idiots play these games and bitch every day.  I personally believe we should fire these "professional" athletes and give these semi-pro guys a try at the national level.  Hell pay them 5o,000 dollars a year and use the rest of the money to balance the American budget and feed the hungry world wide.  But that seems to be a whole other blog.
I do not want to rant or rave about stupidity. I want the sole focus of this to be congratulations to the guys who took care of business.  Coach Cavanaugh should get an award for all the tireless work he has put into this team over the years.  And not enough can be said about "D" the aging warrior of a quaterback who never gives up and held us all accountable. Mcuh is also owed to Cook, the defensive leader who takes talent and converts it into a stone cold defense.  And to all the other Thoroughbreds who put in 40 hours or more at their jobs and still come out because they believe in something.  I salute all of you.  Thanks for what you taught me about the game and what I hope that I gave to you guys.  Congratulations national champions and fight on Florida Thoroughbreds.  Live like no one is watching and I love each and every one of you!
