Are you Convinced?

All I can say about the day of football yesterday is, I am convinced.  Convinced of what , you ask. First of all I am convinced that the SEC is jst as good on defense as everyone says.  Ole Miss, a rising team in the SEC, and Kentucky, a mediocre team in the SEC, both had dominating a perfomances is on defense.  Ole Miss was slightly more impressive, seeing as how they slowed down a very high-powered offense and went and scored a ton of points as well.  Kentucky ground a very physical East Carolina team into the ground.  There was another SEC team yesterday that played goo defense for three quaters of football.  That would be the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide.  Are you convinced that given the shot these "non-BCS" conference schools can play on a big level?  Football has a funny way of proving the experts wrong, and this "preseason scrimmage" suddenly turned into another BCS bombshell.   There is a game today, and it should be a good one.  So let's take a look.
The International Bowl is held in Canada and will put the MAC-Champion Buffalo Bulls against the UConn Huskies.  Buffalo is in thier first bowl game ever.  Buffalo's quaterback, Drew Willy threw for over 3,000 yards and running back James Starks ran for over 1,300.  Buffalo is a balanced offense ran by coach Turner Gill who is one of the best in the game.  UConn has Donald Brown, the nation's leading rusher.  He is strong and determined but he is really all the offense they have.  The Huskies have a pretty good defense but they will have a big task on their hands.  I am picking Buffalo, so is John and Elysa!
Well we can only hope that today is as exciting as yesterday.  Congratulations Utah! Live like no one is watching and play like underdogs!
