Two to....

The field of 65 has finally been dwindled down to two and what a pair they make. Both of these teams have been underestimated and counted out too many times to, well, count. Arguments will be made all day as to why these two teams shouldn't be here. But let me tell you now both of these teams deserve to be here and they have proven it whether you want to believe it or not and as is always the case I am going to tell you why.
Last night Duke beat a very solid West Virginia basketball team. All those that were making an argument that Duke had an easy road to the final four, can stop now. Last night the Blue Devils beat a legitimately good team. Not only did they beat the Mountaineers, they destroyed them. Duke is looking better and better each time I see them play. When Scheyer and the twins are playing well, they almost look unbeatable. Not to mention they have a 7 foot 1 rebounding machine Brian Zoubek that seems to be playing angry. This Duke team is well coached and dangerous and by Monday night they could be the national champions.
And then there was Butler. This hometown "underdog" story is ripping through tournament and beating some iconic figures on the way. Butler's young upstart coach Brad Stevens has beat Jim Boeheim of Syracuse, and Tom Izzo of Michigan State. This team made it to the final with tough defense and some saavy shooting. The Bulldogs have a problem with size but at every turn they have dealt with it accordingly and by Monday night they could be national champions.
I love this Butler story, because it is the closest we have to an underdog story. But it is hard to root against Coach K and this Duke squad. Live like no one is watching, and throw away your brackets now.
