You should have known.

Well after my bracket exploded into nonsense and my Broncos traded for Brady Quinn I started wondering, when is it ok to unfriend sports? Alright, alright that is a little dramatic I understand, but I have this problem now and then. I love sports, but with the teams I follow, sports rarely loves me back. So until college football dumps the BCS for a playoff system, I will have to settle for the relationship I have with sports. With that said I may not be able to repair your relationship with sports (assuming it is as dysfunctional as mine) but I can give you some stupid random stories that make me go WOW!

1.) The worst Bracket percentage makes the best tournament: I admit I am one of the guys you hate. No not the guy who fills out a hundred brackets. I am a different annoying guy. I am the guy who says he figured every upset would happen but when you glance at my bracket it doesn't show one upset. That's right I am a bracket coward. Taking my cowardice into account you have to know that this year my bracket is officially garbage. That doesn't deter my excitement for the tourney however. In fact I am all for a Northern Iowa, Butler/Xavier, St. Mary's, Cornell/Washington final four. Nothing would be better for my argument against the BCS than for that to happen. (That's right I went there with this argument. I am also the annoying guy that uses the NCAA tourney to argue for football play-offs.)

2.) Tiger could win: That's right I said it. If his mental game is right, no one can touch him on a golf course. The off the course nonsense is absolutely irrelevant to this argument other than to analyze his mental state. If he can completely separate himself (which has proven tough for a variety of athletes including Tiger himself, after his father died he missed the cut) then he will destroy the competition at Augusta. I have no quarrels with Tiger and his off the course issues but his on course actions are atrocious. For me it is not if Tiger wins (although I hope he does so people will shut up) but how he wins. If he wins graciously it will go a long way to prove that he has changed.

3.) T.O. and Donovan together again: It could happen. It might be more probable than Tiger winning the Masters. The Oakland Raiders are interested in the aging wide receiver and the rumored on the market quarterback. The Raiders are targeting free agent Terrell Owens and have been in talks with the Eagles regarding one of their quarterbacks. This is tragic and sad. But it would definitely make an interesting storyline for the NFL season.

I love random sports stories. It reminds me how much I love sports. Thanks for reading you are my therapy! Live like no one is watching and tape your bracket back together you sore loser.
