NFL football
Along with college football there is also an NFL season starting. We all know that I love football but often come disenchanted with the antics of NFL players. But I feel obligated to take a paragraph to get you ready, and throughout the season run down the week.
This is going to be an interesting season in the NFL. It will be illustrated by the dynamic story lines that have unfolded in the offseason. The Patriots have revamped an aging defense with often inexplicable trades,, like the Richard Seymour to Oakland trade. Now I rarely doubt Bill Belicheck but he seems to be going wack-o on us right in front of our eyes. His offense is marked by it's dominance and they only seem to be adding pieces that will make them better. The Bengals, a team marked by it's inability to live up to expectations, looks like it might be putting things together. The Raiders look like they will suck, again. In fact the whole AFC East is looking pretty shaky. Including the Chargers who may have missed their window. It seems the only coach that could get the full potential out of that team was Marty Schottenheimer, and they fired him after a deep play-off run. And let's not mention the garbage that is my Denver Broncos. Another team that might be done is the Indianapolis Colts. They have restructured their coaching situation and it looks like Peyton Manning is not happy. Mike Vick is back and the Cowboy might have a shot with fewer distractions. Get fired up for NFL football.
The season kicks off tonight with a grudge match that should be fun to watch between the Steelers and the Titans. Should be fun to watch. Also as a side note there is a pretty good college game on tonight between a struggling Clemson team and Georgia Tech. Live like no one is watching and read the Yahoo! Sports story about Dick Vitale. It is amazing!
