Changing the Nation

A little while back I revealed my fan boy status by jumping on the Denver Nuggets bandwagon. I just love this team. For more reasons than just their endorsement from uber-quarterback John Elway. Their starting five is relentless and physical and the bench is energetic led by J.R. Smith and Chris "Birdman" Anderson. Tonight the Nuggets play game one of the western conference finals against the Los Angeles. (Let the boos reign down!)

But a crazy thing has happened since my declaration of love for the Nuggets. the rest of the nation has started to agree with me. In a few polls on random sports sites it looks like the nation is turning on the streaky Lakers. Some polls say that the Nuggets will steal game one tonight others say they might take the whole series. I believe this too. I think that it will come down to bench play and I believe that the Nuggets have the better bench.

The series will come down to a big if, IF the Nuggets can slow Kobe Bryant down, then they can score enough to win. I like the Nuggets for both personal (John Elway) and professional (bench play) reasons. I will be routing hard tonight for them, but not hard enough to wake the baby! I am glad that my humble words have ignited the nation to change! Live like no one is watching and go Nuggets!
