My Bracket and more!

The first weekend of the tournament was blase.  The first round is usually a blur of blowouts and upsets all intertwined to an amazing artistic sporting event.  This year was safer for the bracketologists but boring in a way that is kinda sad.  Two of the regions advanced the top four, one region went 1-3 and 5, and one regions snuck in a 12 seed.  But the 12 seed is Arizona so it just doesn't feel the same.  There were no mid-majors, no super shockers, no excitement.  That is the bad news, the good news is that I was a coward in my bracket and have a 95% accuracy rating! Go Me!
It seems the major sports shows can not stop arguing whether or not this situation is good for the tournament.  I am on the fence myself.  On the one hand there are no small conference schools, other than Memphis, getting national exposure, but on the other it looks like the selection committee got it right.  Memphis is the lone exception but they played in the national championship last year and are a really good team.  They should have been a number one seed.  The irony of all this is that the team I argued shouldn't be in the tournament, Arizona, is the only low seed to advance to the Sweet 16.  Now they did get a few breaks.  You see the 5 seed they drew in the first round was Utah.  Utah is a pretty mediocre basketball team and Arizona figured out they could play.  Then Arizona got a big break when Cleveland State upset the four seed Wake.  So, with all due respect to Cleveland State and Utah, Arizona has played no one.
So that equation proves that even the 12 seed that is still dancing is a bit of a disappointment.
I did take a chance and picked Oklahoma to win the whole thing.  It wasn't much of a stretch since they are a 2 seed but they will potentially have to face UNC in the elite eight if they both win there next game.  That would be a great match-up between Blake Griffin and Tyler Hansborough.  I am personally disappointed in this years tourney, but it is going almost exactly like I picked it.  Live like no one is watching and pick the long shot at least once!
